Hi everyone!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Break and are coming back to Brown
rested and ready for December, the last and final month of the semester!

Just a reminder that we are not meeting tonight.  But we will have a last
meeting/celebration on December 8, at my place (19 Preston St.#3  Call me
if you need directions) at our usual time, 8-10 pm.  It will be a Christmas
Party, end of semester wrap-up, and a good-bye party for those who are
leaving at the end of the month.  As part of the wrap-up will will have a
time of sharing something that we've been learning this semester or a way
you've been growing.  Think ahead about something you might want to share.

Other announcements:

This Thursday night (12/4)  will be the last BCF Thursday Night meeting of
the semester.  It will be at 7:30 pm Arnold Lounge.  Keith Cooper is
speaking on, "How to Sleep Well at Night:  Growing spiritually without
anxiety."

This Friday night (12/5) will be the BCF Christmas Charity Event, 7-9 pm,
Arnold Lounge.  It is being held to benefit children and the homeless in
South Providence.  They will be collecting canned goods at the door and
holding a silent auction.  Our Bible Study has volunteered 2 items for the
auction, foreign language tutoring and a laundry and room cleaning service.
At some point, we'll be calling on you to participate.  Also at the Event
will be live entertainment, the Brown Gospel Choir will perform, as well as
a funny skit.  At 9:30, after the event there will be a group going
Christmas caroling.  Come and bring friends!  It'll be a great way to
celebrate Christmas and do something to help the less fortunate in our
neighborhood.

I know this is a busy time of year, but it is also almost Christmas, my
favorite holiday!  I'm going to a free Christmas musical next Tuesday and
plan to invite my grad student friends.  It is called, "Ring the Bells:  A
Spectacular Christmas Special"  "In this moving drama you'll hear inspiring
music, see spectacular lighting, staging and costuming, and experience the
powerful message of the Gospel." It will be at the Veterans Memorial Aud.
downtown, Tues, Dec. 9 at 7:30 pm.  Contact me if you'd like to go. Oh,
it's free.

That's it!  I'm praying for you guys and hope that God meets you during
this hectic and often stressful time of year.  Emily and I hope to see you
next Monday!
